The Pohlemus Darling
Chess Memorial 2010 was a 4 round swiss tournament played on
Saturday May 8 at the CW Sawyer Primary School Auditorium.The event was graciously sponsored by Bahamas Engravers
in memory of Pohlemus Darling who was a strong supporter of
Chess in The Bahamas. The 18 player event
with a time control of
Game in 30 minutes (G30) ended with a dramatic match up between
the BCF 2009 National Champion, Yan Lyansky and the BCF 2006
National Champion, Charles Duncombe,.Duncombe won the game and finished the tournament with 4
points from 4 games.

Sandeep Gali of St. John’s College.The second and third place positions had to be decided by
a play off between Travis Miller and Polina Major.Major won the play off and took home the second place
trophy.
